Lightness and Reactivity, with the Colnago Charm

The Colnago V4 is an all-around bicycle, extremely fun to ride with a clean and refined design. The frame is a rigid, solid, and responsive monocoque frame, benefiting from the same carbon layup research and development and aerodynamic studies that led to the creation of the V4Rs.

Aerodynamics - Front Area

The front area of the frame is similar to that of the V4Rs. The head tube is slimmer, and the fork has been revised compared to the V3Rs and the V3 to allow for better airflow, especially during fast and frenetic descents.

Real Dynamic Stiffness

During riding, a bicycle is subjected to various loads acting simultaneously on the entire bike.

For instance, during a sprint, the cyclist exerts forces on the pedals whose direction is off-axis relative to the bike.

Additionally, a lot of power comes from the arms, which pull and push on the handlebars, stressing the front area.

In a seated climbing position, however, the arms are less loaded, and most of the weight rests on the rear triangle.

These different and often contrasting aspects give rise to the concept of Real Dynamic Stiffness, which we used as a reference to study and develop this bike, as was done with the V4Rs.

The result is an extremely balanced bike, where all stiffnesses have been balanced and harmonized to offer remarkable riding performance.

Stem, Handlebar, Tire Clearance

The V4 comes standard with the SR10 stem, and you can choose between the Deda Zero2 DCR handlebar or the Colnago R41 handlebar.

Both options allow for integrated cable routing and maximum aerodynamic advantage.

However, the frame kit is also compatible with third-party solutions.

The nominal tire clearance of the V4 is 30 mm (maximum nominal clearance), the same as the V4Rs.

Groupsets and Compatibility

The Colnago V4 will be available in the following configurations:

• Shimano Ultegra Di2 and Fulcrum Racing 600 DB wheels

• Shimano 105 Di2 and Fulcrum Racing 600 DB wheels

• SRAM Rival and Fulcrum Racing 600 DB wheels

The V4 can also be equipped with mechanical groupsets (1x and 2x), as well as any type of single-chainring group.
