The new Wilier Filante SLR ID2 has finally arrived: the ultimate evolution of Wilier Triestina’s aerodynamic road racing bicycles. Developed in collaboration with the WorldTour Team Groupama–FDJ, the Filante SLR ID2 is designed for riders who want to push beyond their limits and experience speed like never before.

Be Your Fastest – Aerodynamics at the Service of the Rider

Every detail of the new Filante ID2 has been engineered to enhance efficiency and reduce aerodynamic drag. Wind tunnel testing at Silverstone has demonstrated an impressive 13.6% drag reduction and a 14.15-watt saving at 40 km/h compared to the previous version. Over a 70 km route at equal power, this translates into a time gain of 1 minute and 45 seconds — a true advantage in any competitive scenario.

 

Design and Details That Make the Difference

  • New F-Bar ID2 cockpit: aerodynamic design with 3 cm O.E.F. ergonomic flare and fully concealed hardware
  • NACA aero fork: optimized airfoil profiles, increased torsional stiffness and integrated aerodynamic fin
  • Shimano Di2 battery integration: repositioned inside the bottom bracket area to lower the center of gravity and improve handling
  • Redesigned rear triangle: 2.5° inward-angled stays, UDH compatibility and clearance for tires up to 34 mm
  • Versatile drivetrain: 2x or 1x setups, compatible with chainrings up to 56T

Integrated Innovation: The Aerokit System

Developed with Elite Cycling, the new Aerokit integrates hydration into the frame design, reducing aerodynamic resistance by over two-thirds compared to traditional bottle cages. With a total capacity of 1100 ml, it delivers the perfect balance of functionality and performance, making the bike even more efficient.

 

High-Performance Carbon Frame

The monocoque frame of the Wilier Filante SLR ID2 uses an exclusive blend of Toray T800, T1100 and M46JB carbon fibers, achieving the ideal balance of stiffness, responsiveness, and lightness. The complete bike, in the Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 setup, weighs just 7.1 kg. Every curve of the frame has been optimized to deliver stability and precision at high speeds without compromising comfort.
