Columbus Futura SLX Disc 1”1/4

The SLX Disc represents the latest evolution of the celebrated Futura Disc, trusted by prestigious Pro-Tour carbon frames and custom “specialissime” bikes. Its name comes from the famous Columbus tube set that raced with professional teams in the 1980s, often seen in yellow, pink, and rainbow jerseys.

Within the Futura fork range, SLX refers to the new models for 1-1/4” oversized steerer tubes. Following the 1-1/2” tapered and the classic SL 1-1/8” versions, this fork extends the range with an option combining larger diameters with elegant lines suitable for metal-alloy frames.

The SLX Disc offers increased tire clearance up to 30mm (compared to 28mm in the previous model) and allows mounting a light “racing” fender for commuting or winter training.

Designed for center-lock hubs, it is recommended to use a disc lock-ring with an internal spline (e.g., Shimano SM-RT96). Other disc attachment systems can be used only if screws or lock-rings do not protrude more than 2mm from the disc surface.
