The integration of cable routing inside bicycle frames and components is one of the most significant innovations currently explored by design teams for road, gravel, and triathlon framesets.

Integrated solutions offer clear advantages in terms of aesthetics, while also improving aerodynamics and overall performance. Initially adopted mostly by carbon-fiber frame manufacturers, there is now growing interest from hand-made steel, aluminum, and titanium framebuilders.

To meet these demands, Columbus introduces a special evolution of the renowned Futura Disc carbon road fork, designed specifically for fully integrated internal cable routing.

The 1-1/2” tapered steerer retains a 1-1/8” cylindrical shape at the top, ensuring compatibility with the majority of internal-routing stems on the market. Additionally, the monocoque fork design allows the front brake cable to pass seamlessly through the fork body to the disc caliper at the end of the blade.
