Looking for a non-round seatpost compatible with your Colnago V5Rs? Here is the perfect upgrade. This ultralight seatpost replaces the original component, helping you reduce weight in one of the most critical areas of the bike. By saving weight on the seatpost and saddle—parts located high above the ground—you minimize the pendulum effect and noticeably improve bike handling and ride efficiency.
The weight of this seatpost is approximately 95 grams in a 350 mm straight version. It is built from advanced carbon fiber using both bidirectional and unidirectional fabrics, combined with an asymmetrical laminate design. This careful construction achieves the ideal balance between lightweight performance and maximum strength.
Every seatpost is hand-laminated to reach record low weight while maintaining durability and rider safety. Each section of the post uses a specific number and orientation of carbon fiber layers, determined through finite element analysis and destructive testing. The result is a seatpost that delivers both reliability and cutting-edge performance.
The new clamping system on straight versions employs two ultralight Dyneema® loops. This innovative design drastically reduces weight in the clamping area while ensuring full compatibility with all saddle rails, including 7x9 mm carbon rails.
Choosing the right seatpost length: Measure the exposed length of your current seatpost from the seat clamp (top of the vertical tube) to the center of the saddle rails. Then select the corresponding size from the chart provided. If two sizes fit, consider rider variability and bike usage. For special needs, custom lengths up to 500 mm (or even longer) can be made on request—please contact us for details.
