Looking for a non-round seatpost designed for your Colnago Y1Rs? Here is the perfect solution. This ultralight upgrade allows you to replace the original seatpost and remove weight from one of the most important areas of your bike. By reducing weight in the seatpost and saddle — parts positioned far from the ground — you significantly decrease the pendulum effect and improve overall bike stability and performance.
The weight of this carbon seatpost is approximately 95 grams in a 350 mm straight version. Built with advanced carbon fiber using bidirectional and unidirectional fabrics, the post features a carefully studied asymmetrical laminate. This ensures the perfect balance between ultralight construction and maximum resistance.
Each seatpost is hand-laminated to achieve record low weight while maintaining durability and rider safety. At every section of the post, the number and orientation of carbon fiber layers vary, based on finite element analysis and destructive testing, to guarantee optimal performance.
The newly engineered clamping system for straight versions is designed with two ultralight Dyneema® loops. This innovation delivers a substantial weight reduction in the head and clamping area, while remaining compatible with all rail types, including 7x9 mm carbon saddle rails.
Choosing your seatpost length: Measure the exposed length of your current seatpost, from the seat clamp (top of the vertical tube) to the center of the saddle rails. Select the appropriate size from the chart provided. If two sizes are possible, consider rider variability and usage. For custom needs, seatposts up to 500 mm (or even longer) can be made upon request — contact us for details.
