Italian-threaded bottom bracket shells are typically found on Italian-brand road bikes. Each shell measures 70mm wide with a 35mm inner diameter, ensuring precise fit and compatibility.
This kit provides all the necessary components to install 24mm spindle cranks—including models from Shimano, FSA, and other brands—into an ITA bottom bracket shell.
CeramicSpeed bearings are pressed into threaded cups and then threaded into the frame. Available in both Standard and Coated versions, these bearings use ultra-smooth CeramicSpeed balls rotating in hardened-steel races. The Coated version adds a metallic surface layer, increasing hardness, smoothness, durability, and reducing drag even further.
In the box:
- 2 threaded cups with bearings
- 2 dust covers with built-in spacers
- Spacer tube
- All Round Grease
- Sticker sheet
ITA bottom brackets remain popular thanks to the heritage of Italian cycling design. Once the drive-side cup is properly secured, the system delivers excellent stability and performance. Pairing 24mm cranks with CeramicSpeed bearings ensures superior pedaling efficiency.
For maximum bike efficiency, reducing mechanical drag is crucial. CeramicSpeed balls are 100% smoother and 15% harder than competing ceramic options. Running on ultra-smooth races, they cut drag by 75% compared to typical bottom brackets and last at least three times longer.
Each bottom bracket is pre-packed with All Round Grease. For the lowest drag in dry conditions, use Race Day Grease. For wet or harsh riding conditions, Long Life Grease provides enhanced durability and protection.
