Competitive gravel demands the same level of engineering care as a road wheel — just applied to an entirely different set of conditions. That's exactly where the Bora X comes from: the first wheel in the legendary Bora family built specifically for gravel, bringing the same racing approach that made Campagnolo a benchmark in road cycling onto unpaved terrain.
Developed in the wind tunnel and pushed through the most demanding terrain, the Bora X was engineered with a clear goal: combine responsiveness and stability, absorb vibration from rough surfaces, and hold steering precision regardless of what's underneath the tires. The 50 mm profile and 27 mm hooked internal channel — ideal for tires from 35 mm upward — are built on the same construction philosophy as the road version, with a unidirectional carbon fiber layup tuned to gravel-specific loads.
Spoke lacing built for fast gravel
The unmistakable G3 lacing pattern is reinterpreted here in a configuration dedicated to fast gravel riding, combining aero and elliptical spokes to reduce turbulence and improve aerodynamic penetration, while keeping the right balance between stiffness and comfort — a decisive trade-off when the surface changes from one meter to the next.
The aesthetics tell the same dual story: the "X" logo in black chrome metallic finish speaks directly to the gravel context, while staying true to Campagnolo's iconic "winged wheel" — a symbol of a construction tradition now taking on new terrain.
The result is a wheel weighing just 1,430 grams, solid under maximum load and sharp on every sudden acceleration — the two qualities that actually matter once gravel turns into competition. The Bora X is built to adapt to every drivetrain configuration: available with Campagnolo N3W, Shimano HG11, Shimano Microspline (MS12) and SRAM XDR freehub bodies.
