The ENVE SES 4.5 is a high-performance carbon wheelset designed to deliver speed, stability and confidence across a wide range of road conditions.

Originally developed for the demanding cobbles and crosswinds of Paris-Roubaix, the SES 4.5 has evolved into one of ENVE’s most versatile road wheelsets. Its aerodynamic profile, high-volume tire compatibility and refined carbon construction make it an ideal choice for fast road riding and racing, particularly on undulating and technical terrain.

With a 50 mm front rim and 56 mm rear rim, the SES 4.5 is designed with different front and rear rim shapes to optimize aerodynamic efficiency and crosswind stability. The front wheel is engineered to maintain confident handling in changing wind conditions, while the rear wheel is shaped to maximize drag reduction as airflow moves from the front to the rear of the bike.

The 25 mm internal rim width is optimized around modern high-volume tubeless tires, with 27 mm tires providing the aerodynamic reference for the wheelset. ENVE’s Wide Hookless Bead is designed to improve tubeless reliability and reduce the likelihood of pinch flats in the event of an impact.

The wheelset features ENVE’s INNERDRIVE™ Premium Straight-Pull hubs, with an inboard ratchet system designed to reduce stress on the axle and bearings while providing reliable engagement. Interchangeable ratchets are available in 40, 60, 80 and 100-tooth configurations.

At 1432 g per wheelset (+/- 3%), the SES 4.5 combines aerodynamic performance with a relatively low weight, making it a strong all-round choice for riders who want one wheelset capable of delivering speed on race day without compromising stability or versatility.
