The G4-X is the new Colnago designed for gravel racing. This model replaces the G3-X, drawing from Colnago’s extensive experience in off-road racing, from elite cyclocross to high-performance road racing with the V-Series — the carbon monocoque bikes developed for the UAE Emirates and UAE ADQ WorldTour Teams.

The G4-X embodies Colnago’s legendary off-road heritage. In cyclocross, the brand has dominated the discipline, claiming virtually every major title. Among the most iconic victories are Sven Nys’ six CX World Championships and Wout Van Aert’s two off-road World Championship wins on Colnago bikes.

The design concept of the G4-X is derived directly from the V4Rs — the race bike used by UAE Emirates and UAE ADQ in the WorldTour. The two models share the same design philosophy and aesthetic approach. The V4Rs was engineered as the perfect balance of all the qualities a professional rider needs. The G4-X follows that same principle: achieving the ideal balance of the key characteristics required to win on gravel.

Perfect Balance of Elements
A bike cannot be defined by a single attribute — aero, stiffness, weight... In reality, the riding experience depends on the harmony of many factors. This balance is what guided the development of Colnago’s new fast gravel machine.

The G4-X optimizes all the critical characteristics for racing and riding hard on dirt:

The nominal tire clearance has been increased from 40 mm (G3-X) to 45 mm. The G4-X comes with either a standard two-piece stem and handlebar setup or Colnago’s Integrated CC.01 Carbon Cockpit in the Wide version (standard). The standard road CC.01 is also compatible.
With its traditional 1 1/8” fork steerer tube, the frame maintains broad compatibility with third-party cockpit systems.

Integrated Handlebar Solution — CC.01 Wide
The Colnago CC.01 Wide offers greater flare than the road CC.01 — 3 cm per side instead of 1 cm. As a carbon monocoque bar, it delivers significant weight reduction and added stiffness.

It features a 72.5 mm reach, 120 mm drop, and an 82° stem angle.

Mounting Points
The G4-X includes four riveted mounting points: two for bottle cages inside the main triangle, one under the down tube, and one on the top tube.

The frame supports any electronic drivetrain (1x or 2x) and is compatible with UDH — the universal rear derailleur hanger standard developed by SRAM.
