An icon returns. The highest-performing frame De Rosa has ever built, in five colourways that combine character and exclusivity β here in its most complete expression, built with Campagnolo Record 13, Bora WTO and the Vision Metron 5D ACR cockpit.
The De Rosa Merak has reached its fifth evolution: the finest, highest-performing carbon fibres available, a 700-gram frame, two years of development and, in this Dynamic version, an advanced graphic treatment that no one will overlook.

Record 13, Bora WTO and Vision Metron 5D ACR: the platform, fully realised
This configuration pairs the Merak with Campagnolo's Record 13-speed groupset β the same wireless platform as Super Record, distilled into a setup built for riders who want that shifting feel without compromise β with the Bora WTO wheelset, Campagnolo's own answer to aerodynamic efficiency and confident handling in crosswinds, and the Vision Metron 5D ACR, the integrated cockpit De Rosa developed together with Vision, drawn around the lines of the frame. On the Dynamic, where the graphics are an integral part of the design, this is the pairing the bike was conceived for.
Five multi-tone colourways
Every Dynamic colourway is built from a combination of several tones, with graphic details that refine the design and raise its level of sophistication, and longitudinal lines that follow the surfaces of the frame and carry their direction. The down tube logo stays restrained, and the surfaces remain the focus.
This is the aesthetic territory De Rosa calls retrofuturist: heritage and contemporary design coexisting without turning into a nostalgic exercise. A sophisticated result β striking, but never ostentatious.
Available in Dynamic Black, Dynamic Gold, Dynamic Violet, Dynamic White and Dynamic Purple.
The frame
More than 70% of the layup is premium fibre β predominantly T1100 and M40J, with a proportion of 60T in the most heavily loaded areas β while standard-modulus T700, found in a large share of the carbon frames on sale today, is absent: the higher the modulus, the less material needed to reach the same stiffness.
The rear triangle and fork use more generous cross-sections, with a clear volume when the bike is seen from behind. That is the work which keeps the frame controllable on descents and at speed, where a 700-gram frame risks turning twitchy.
With this Record 13, Bora WTO and Vision Metron 5D ACR build, the complete bike sits comfortably under the UCI 6.8 kg limit β the components do the work, and these are components we know inside out.
Cockpit: Vision Metron 5D ACR, designed with Vision
For the new Merak, De Rosa developed a dedicated cockpit together with Vision, drawn around the lines of the frame. On the Dynamic, where the graphics are an integral part of the design, it is the pairing the bike was conceived for β and the one we recommend.
The frame uses the ACR Hidden Cables standard, so cockpits from other manufacturers remain compatible if you have specific requirements of width or geometry: get in touch before you order and we'll help you find the right fit.
One platform. Three ways to read it.
The platform is one, and it is exceptional. This is no cosmetic update: the Merak once again manages to surprise on technical content and performance, without setting style aside β and at De Rosa, style has never been an accessory.
Classic, Dynamic and Race share exactly the same frame: what changes is the way the project presents itself, and therefore what it says about the rider. Technically, nothing changes: frame, layup and on-road behaviour are identical. What changes is the graphics, the finish and the aesthetic interpretation. The Classic keeps graphic markings to a minimum; the Dynamic combines several tones with graphic details; the Race takes an openly race-oriented approach.
One frame, many roads
The Merak was not conceived as a pure climber's bike, it is not a dedicated aero bike and it is not an endurance bike: it is an all-round race bike, and in a market of increasingly specialised models that is a deliberate position rather than a compromise. Tyre clearance up to 34c widens its range, from a narrow, reactive setup to a more forgiving configuration when the road surface stops cooperating. If what you are after is an outright endurance geometry, get in touch: there is a better fit for that use in the De Rosa range.
Looking for a different build?
This bike comes complete with Record 13, Bora WTO and the Vision Metron 5D ACR cockpit, professionally assembled by our workshop and ready to ride out of the box. If you'd rather choose your own groupset, wheels or cockpit, browse the Merak Dynamic frameset and build it your way with one of our Build Kits.
Eight sizes, from 42.5 to 56.5
The sizes are closely spaced and two adjacent sizes are not equivalent: with a racing position, height alone is not a sufficient criterion. We have worked in bike fitting for many years β send us your fit data, or the measurements of the bike you ride now, and we will give you a reliable indication before you buy. For anyone who wants absolute certainty, we go deeper into the assessment once the order is placed.
Cicli Corsa and De Rosa: partners since 2012
De Rosa is the brand Cicli Corsa began with. We have been official dealers since 2012, and with Cristiano De Rosa and his sons we share respect, friendship and many years of work done together. It is why we know which builds genuinely work.
This Merak arrives to you already built: groupset, wheels and cockpit chosen, checked and assembled in our workshop, ready to ride out of the box. It is also the most direct route to going under 6.8 kg, because the final weight is decided there, in the components.
And if you have a question, someone answers. Our customer service team handles sizing, fit adjustments and any other doubt, before and after your purchase: write to customerservice@ciclicorsa.com and you will hear back from someone who knows these frames.
