The Pegoretti Marcelo Road Bike (also known as the MXXXXXO) is one of the most iconic frames handcrafted in the Pegoretti Bottega in Verona, Italy. Designed for stronger or larger riders who demand stiffness, responsiveness, and a pure racing pedigree, the Marcelo embodies Pegoretti’s unmistakable blend of performance and soul.
While it maintains comfort on long rides, the Marcelo prioritizes performance over plushness, offering a sharper, race-ready feel compared to the Responsorium. Sharing some DNA with the Round model, it delivers instant acceleration, precise handling, and agile cornering—perfect for riders who want speed and control on the road.
Built with heat-treated Columbus LIFE tubing, the Marcelo features a front triangle with the same tubing diameters as the Responsorium, combined with a rear triangle with larger cylindrical seat stays to maximize stiffness and responsiveness. Each frame includes Pegoretti hooded dropouts, a Chris King x Pegoretti D11 headset, and the signature Pegoretti Falz carbon fibre fork.
Originally named by Dario Pegoretti after his father, the Marcelo remains one of the workshop’s most beloved and recognizable steel frames, with its distinctive five-letter graphic becoming a symbol of Pegoretti’s craftsmanship and artistry.
Handmade in Verona, Italy, every Marcelo is finished with Pegoretti seat collars and front derailleur clamps, an Italian-threaded bottom bracket, and compatibility for tyre clearance up to 32mm with disc brakes or 28mm with rim brakes.
The Pegoretti Marcelo is the ultimate choice for riders who seek a handmade Italian steel frame with race-oriented geometry, stiffness, and responsiveness—yet infused with the artistry and passion that define Pegoretti.
Available finishes include Solid, Graphics, Panel and Ciavete. Explore all the options on the Pegoretti website and find the one that suits you best.
