3T Exploro Racemax — SRAM Rival 1x11 | Orange-Grey | Size 54

Cicli Corsa is an official 3T dealer — a relationship that also comes from geography: we're both based in the Bergamo area, just a few kilometers apart. That means direct handling of orders, returns, and warranty support on 3T products, with the same level of pre- and post-sale care we bring to every other brand we carry. (Note: at this time we can only accept 3T orders, returns, or warranty claims from customers within Europe.)

The bike that changed gravel for good

The Exploro wasn't just an early gravel bike — it was the world's first full-aero gravel bike, and that changed the rules entirely. Road-bike speed, mountain-bike toughness, fast on pavement, gravel, and singletrack alike. This isn't theory: it's won Dirty Kanza, Jeroboam, RAT1000, and other races where rough gravel is the whole point.

At the core of the design is the Sqaero downtube: wide enough to catch the airflow coming off the oversized front tire, but squared off at the tail to avoid the surface drag a full 150-200mm airfoil would create. The result — a 50x75mm cross-section — lands close to a perfect balance of aerodynamics, stiffness, and strength, and the same shaping carries through the headtube, seattube, seatstays, and seatpost.

3T didn't test aerodynamics under unrealistic lab conditions: testing was done at a real-world 32km/h (not the standard 48km/h wind-tunnel speed), with the frame optimized for two water bottles and the Sqaero shape designed to stay effective even caked in mud. The result: a muddy Exploro running 40mm knobby tires and two bottles is faster than a clean round-tube bike running 28mm slicks with no bottles at all.

GravelPlus compatibility

Thanks to the GravelPlus standard, the Exploro fits road, cross, and even mountain bike tires while keeping virtually the same overall wheel diameter — so the same predictable handling, whether you run 700c or 650b. Tire clearance goes up to 54mm for the roughest gravel out there.

On this build:

  • Groupset: SRAM Rival 1x11
  • Colorway: Orange-Grey
  • Size: 54
  • Internal cable routing for a clean frame, aerodynamically and visually
  • FlipTop cable guides, future-proofed for mechanical and electronic drivetrains, single or double chainring
  • Hang Loose dropout: mount the rear disc wheel without wrestling the derailleur out of the way first
  • Top-mounted seatpost expander, more user-friendly than the original Exploro's hidden design

Discover it in our Gravel Bikes collection. For the full technical spec sheet and the story behind the Sqaero design, the official 3T — Exploro Racemax page is the right reference.
