The Colnago Master occupies a place that no other frame quite manages — a steel icon with racing credentials that time has only deepened, not diluted. This particular build, for a customer in the US, began as a frame enquiry and naturally expanded from there. Once the conversation opened up, the direction became clear: this wasn't going to be a frameset waiting for components — it was going to be a complete dream build, assembled to match the frame's standing. Campagnolo Super Record 12s was the only groupset that made sense here, paired with Bora WTO 45 rim brake wheels for a combination that is as Italian and as purposeful as the frame itself. The Darimo carbon cockpit — stem, handlebar and seatpost all in 3K glossy — brings a considered lightness to a steel build without compromising its character. A Ceramic Speed Alpha ITA threaded bottom bracket completes the specification. Now heading to the US.
