This Colnago Y1Rs custom build is a good example of how a high-end complete bike can become something far more personal once the conversation begins. The customer from Latvia placed the order directly through our website, without any previous enquiry, initially choosing a premium setup built around SRAM Red AXS and ENVE SES 4.5 wheels.

As often happens, once we got in touch after the purchase to check whether any support was needed, the project started to evolve. While there was never any doubt about the frame size, we quickly understood that the standard cockpit choice was not going to be the best solution, so we refined that part of the configuration to make the setup work properly.

From there, the customer decided to take the build a step further and explore a custom finish. We helped create the connection with Lumar Color, an Italian specialist in special-effect bicycle painting, and managed the logistics throughout the process.

The requested white marble-effect finish gave this Y1Rs a completely distinctive identity, without taking anything away from the clean and aggressive character of the bike itself. Once delivered to Latvia, the customer was especially impressed by the final look, our timely communication, and the care taken with the packaging.
