Some builds are not about chasing the latest technology, but about rediscovering what makes riding a bike truly enjoyable. This Pegoretti Mxxxxxo Rim is exactly that.

The customer, based in Switzerland, contacted us through our online form after a clear shift in perspective. After trying a steel bike from a friend, he realised he wanted something more engaging and easier to live with. No batteries, no charging, and the freedom to take care of the bike himself. A rim brake setup quickly became the obvious choice.

Fit was already well understood, so the project focused on the essence of the build. The Ciavete paint scheme was selected for its artistic and unique character, with a specific request for a pink base inspired by the Maglia Rosa, a subtle tribute to Italian cycling heritage. The rest of the build follows the same philosophy, simple, clean and purposeful.

Rather than shipping, he chose to come to Italy and collect the bike in person. Seeing it for the first time confirmed the choice, and once on the road, the ride quality exceeded expectations, responsive, lively and far from what he expected from steel.

A build that brings everything back to the pleasure of riding.
