When weight becomes a real objective, every single component choice starts to matter. This Wilier Verticale SLR was built with a clear direction in mind, pushing for an extremely light setup without compromising real-world performance.

The customer, based in the USA and one of our most loyal clients, reached out after seeing one of our superlight Verticale builds. That was enough to spark the idea, how far could we go in reducing weight while still keeping the bike fast, stable and confidence-inspiring on descents.

With several bike fit reports already on file, defining the position was straightforward. From there, we focused entirely on the build. The project features a Campagnolo Super Record Wireless 13-speed, upgraded with the Ultra kit including carbon chainrings, ceramic bearings and a titanium cassette. Lightweight components from Darimo and Alpitude further refined the build, while Carbon-Ti rotors completed the package.

The result is a climbing-focused bike that remains precise and composed in every condition.
