Weight

Assembled with the proprietary integrated handlebar and seat post, the King Zydeco II frame kit is 400 grams lighter than the original King Zydeco.

Stiffness and Ride Quality

While the weight of the new King Zydeco is significantly lower than that of the previous generation, stiffness values remain relatively consistent, with a noticeable 5% increase in bottom bracket stiffness and improved front-end stiffness thanks to a more compact main triangle. Additionally, the new King Zydeco maintains the same Double Response System as previous generations, which aligns the carbon fibers continuously along the entire seat node area, significantly reducing vibrations and enhancing rideability on rough terrain.

Geometry

The race-proven geometry of the King Zydeco remains largely unchanged for the new model, with improvements aimed at developing an additional size (XS) and a more linear progression of stack and reach between sizes for better fitting. In line with the bike's competitive edge, the wheelbase has been slightly extended to enhance stability and grip at high speeds on rough terrain.

Design Details

Cinelli’s meticulous attention to detail is evident throughout the frame design, from the sleek and contemporary frame shape to the complete cable integration, the custom top tube cover plate, the meticulous paintwork, and the clean, sharp lines of its cockpit and seat post.

Graphic Concept

The King Zydeco II is offered in two colors: Orange Safari and Sage Rover.

• Orange Safari pays homage to some of the bold striped colorways in the history of rally cars.

• Sage Rover is inspired by the patina of layers of tones and materials found on vintage 4x4 vehicles.

Both graphics introduce a new visual element: the Ghost-C. The Ghost-C is the profile shape of the iconic winged C, stripped of the inner part of the Cinelli logo. The resulting shape references both the iconic Cinelli winged C and the numbers painted on race cars from the 1950s.
