Pirelli present two new tires for road bikes: the P Zero Race and P Zero Road models, both designed for use with an inner tube.

P Zero Race, officially P ZEROTM, is a high-end all-round tire designed for pure performance, and P Zero Road, a slightly cheaper training and competition tire, suitable for high mileage.

The new family of Pirelli tires will replace the current P ZERO Velo: an upgrade that further increases the performance of a tire that has become, in a short time, a true market reference.

Maximum performance

P Zero Race

From a tread design point of view, the rubber is identical to the Tubeless Ready version of the same name, as well as in the use of the compound. P ZERO Race is made with the new SmartEVO Compound. The rubber compound is based on three functional polymers, each of which has specific performance characteristics which, according to Pirelli, should offer better grip in wet conditions while maintaining low rolling resistance.

The carcass, on the other hand, is completely redesigned, consisting of nylon threads with a 120 TPI casing. In addition, P Zero Race has a wider tread in all sizes than its predecessor, P Zero Velo, to ensure better cornering control and greater puncture resistance, thanks also to the wide protective belt, the TechBelt Road. Available in 24, 26, 28 and 30 mm sizes, in black or with para sides (Classic), P ZERO Race will soon be available also in Color Edition versions: yellow, red or white.

Greater resistance

P Zero Road

With a stronger Evo compound and a tread pattern with closer and longer grooves, the P Zero Road was born to extend the life of the clincher without compromising features such as smoothness and comfort. It offers low rolling resistance, excellent grip, lots of comfort and a long life. P ZERO Road is available in a single black color variant, in sizes 24, 26, 28 mm.
