WR COMPOSITI
WR Compositi manufactures a variety of high-end carbon fibre composite products, including bicycles and bicycle components. The company was started in 1990 in Almenno San Bartolomeo, in the province of Bergamo in Northern Italy, by a passionate and ambitious engineer who decided to leave his job at a large company (and the security that comes with it) to apply his technical skills to his lifelong passion; cycling.
In 1993, almost coincidently, WR Compositi is commissioned by a large Italian components brand and they find themselves in a perfect position to launch their brand.
One of the many strengths of WR Compositi is that they build all of their components on site, the company has direct control, from the raw materials primarily imported from Germany or Italy, to the entire production process. This allows Cicli Corsa to follow each customer step-by-step, and offer a fully customised product; from the choice of the carbon fibre weave to the graphic design, each component is designed to satisfy cyclists’ every need.
Quality is a hallmark of WR Compositi, and is something they refuse to stray from. Anyone who’s come across their products before knows that “Low-range” products are not even on their radar, a philosophy that differs greatly from most manufacturers in the industry.
Over the years, the company has built a specialised team of operators, each overseeing a different step in the manufacturing; cutting the carbon fibre composites, positioning the pre-treated fibres within the moulds, baking the products in the autoclave, the finishing touches, making sure each product is made hand-crafted and never mass produced. This hand-made method allows WR Compositi to follow each step in detail ensuring a constant quality control, leaving no room for inaccuracies or superficial solutions which are a crux within the manufacturing industry.
Cicli Corsa shares the same vision and passion, and proudly carries WR Compositi frames and component in their online shop, and is delighted to promote the brand both in Italy and worldwide. The geographical proximity, an open line of communication, and constant customer feedback have solidified a long and fruitful relationship that greatly satisfy both employees and product users.
